New York World's Fair 1964-1965 Ticket

Once again it’s time to visit the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair, be sure and visit my recent NYWF posts here (Special Ticket & Discount Book).

This ticket sure evokes the feeling of the fair, great fonts and symbols. The copyright sure has a lot of years listed! Void if detached. Detached from what?

The United States Steel Unisphere makes for great safety paper.

Even though I wasn’t able to visit the fair in person (yet) it’s obvious that Walt Disney was a huge part of the its success. This Progressland brochure is in amazing “like new” condition which just adds to the awesomeness of the artwork, wow – I want to step right into that illustration on the cover.

One of the major highlights of my 2008 Walt Disney World trip was seeing the Carousel of Progress (link).

All-Electric Living. I rented an apartment in the 80’s that had that symbol on the door “Total Electric Award” – Ceiling radiant heating, electric stoves and electric waters heaters cost a small fortune to run!

Here are a few pages from a great little booklet Ford gave out at the fair.

Is this great or what? Check out the Black 64 Lincoln, looks like it’s got 22 inch rims!
